Just delicious meals is a website showcasing  meals from South Sudan and Sudan including other favourites from around the world.

Our recipes are carefully prepared with less salt and oil/fat during cooking to ensure healthier meals delivered direct to you with care, simplicity and confidence.

South Sudan is a new country in the sub Saharan Africa. It became independent from The Sudan in 2011 and hence the influence of the  Sudanese cooking in the majority of its meals. The Sudanese cooking in turn is heavily influenced by the Middle East through location and the history  which brought with it a variety of spices such as , cinnamon, cardamom, gloves and much more into the food. The foundation of food from South Sudan, involves simple meals cooked in a stew and eaten with millet flour/sorghum.

This flour can be made into a flat bread called kisra, a thick porridge called aseeda and a couscous like meal called akelo. Nowadays, bread has become another important part of the main meal that was adapted from the Sudanese.

Why are we unique?!

My methods of cooking involves using different cooking equipment each with their own unique benefits, for example, the instant pot will lessened the cooking times, the air fryers using less oil or fat while steamers preserve the nutrients and vital vitamins in steamed food.

These methods will involve the following equipment;
